Maya Wells
Singer Songwriter Multi-Instrumentalist
Maya Wells is a 14 year old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who expresses herself through lyrics and music. She started playing the piano at 6 years old, the drums at 9 and the guitar at 12. When she was 11, she began learning how to write songs and create her own music. She has been writing alternative rock songs ever since.
Maya performs locally in Southern California at a variety of venues and busks regularly. She also fronts the band The Burning Horizon which writes and performs their own music in addition to cover songs. You can listen to Maya on her debut EP “Numb” on all major music sites. From local stages to streaming platforms , Maya is steadily expanding her reach and connecting with listeners who resonate with her honest lyrics and evolving sound.

Maya’s latest EP “Disconnected Youth” brings an edgier sound to her music, and demonstrates her growth as a singer and as a songwriter. Inspired by the pressures of being a teenager in today’s connected world, she tackles heavy topics like anxiety, social media addiction, pressures to fit in, and the lies that our leaders tell us. Wise beyond her years, Maya captures the feelings of teens around the world, who feel disconnected from themselves and each other. Maya’s songs are produced by Jason Brawner, a 2 time Hollywood Music Awards Producer of the Year.
